A Meet Me in Child's Pose Specialty Training for Librarians and Library Staff

Meet Me in the Library is a playful, experiential training where library staff will learn how to incorporate kids yoga and mindfulness into the youth programming at their library. Meet Me in Child’s Pose trainings, including Meet Me in the Library, are developed and led by educators and kids yoga business owners/instructors who have nearly 20 years of combined experience teaching yoga to kids in libraries, schools, camps, and studios.

Participants will learn how to:

• incorporate movement and mindfulness into existing library programming

• offer their own kids and family yoga sessions without the expense of an outside contractor coming in each time

• set up the children’s section of the library in a way that gives kids and families mindful movement opportunities

During a Meet Me in the Library training, important topics about the physical body and mindfulness will be taught in a hands-on way that empowers participants to understand how and why to bring yoga to kids in their library! Participants will workshop a kids yoga program they can implement in their own library after the training. 

This 10-hour training includes 8 contact hours and 2 non-contact hours and participants will receive a certificate of completion.
